Objectives

• Mobilizing contributors around the world who are interested in the connection between music and advocacy
• Creating spaces for students to write about why songs move them in a political context, so that we can better understand how music shapes the individual, and hear diverse perspectives on the issues at hand
• Providing resources and ways for site goers to get involved themselves, we hope to inspire action and encourage civic engagement
• Encouraging people to listen to the defining music of our time through curated playlists which elucidate the crucial role that music plays in our world
• Inspiring all generations of musicians to write music that helps to advocate for and promote social change
